Standard Punch Washers

A flat washer with a particularly large outer diameter in proportion to its central hole. These are commonly used to spread the load on thin sheet metal and are named after their use on automobile fenders. They can also be used to make a connection to a hole that has been enlarged by rust or wear.

Flat Machined Washer

Flat washers, also referred to as Type A plain washers, are thin, flat, and circular general-purpose washers with centrally located holes. Standardized flat washers may be designed by the use of imperial or metric dimensions.

Spring Washers

Spring washers are a subtype of washers that are conical in shape to prevent them from resting flush against a surface without the presence of a load. They are designed to provide a spring force and absorb shock by providing an axial load that counters vibrations.

Repair Washers

Repair washers, often called Penny washers, have a large outside diameter, larger than the usual diameter found in traditional flat washers. This flat washer hosts a flat ring which is used to spread the load of a screwed fastening and prevent damage.

Load Indicating Washers

Load Indicating Structural Washers are medium carbon steel, heat treated, and hardened to 26-45 HRC. Load Indicating Washers are designed as mechanical load cells to indicate the minimum required tension has been achieved in Structural Assemblies.

Square Plate Washers

Square washers are flat washers in a square shape. They have a larger surface area than round washers for better torque distribution. They are thick with a broad shape to protect against the damage of wood Fibers used in wood construction.

Tapered Washers

Taper Washersare square or half-round, Taper washers are designed to be used on channel sections, and underneath nuts with tapered flanges to enable the bolt assembly to fit square when tightened.

Through Hardened Washers

Through-hardened washers are traditional disc-shaped washers that have been hardened. Hardening is a metallurgy process that, as the name suggests, is designed to increase the hardness of a metal. Some washers are made of plain metal. Through-hardened washers, on the other hand, are made of hardened metal.
